International Symposium on Agentic and Trustworthy Learning for Autonomous Systems

Md. Jalil Piran is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Sejong University, Seoul. He received his Ph.D. in Electronics and Information Engineering from Kyung Hee University in 2016, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution. His research spans artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, IoT, cybersecurity, and next-generation communication systems. He is the author of several Springer books in the context of Machine Learning. He serves as an Editor for “IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems” and “Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence”. He is also Vice-Chair of the IEEE Consumer Technology Society Technical Committee on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence in Consumer Electronics. His professional service includes guest editorships, conference leadership, academic mentorship, and participation as South Korea’s delegate to ISO/IEC MPEG from 2014 to 2017. A Senior Member of IEEE, he has received several distinctions, including Sejong University’s Research Excellence Professor Award in 2025, the IAM Scientist Medal of the Year in 2017, Iran’s Outstanding Emerging Researcher Award in 2017, and the Dissertation of the Year Award in Engineering in 2016. He regularly delivers keynote speeches and invited lectures worldwide.
